Mainly known for the Carnival, of ancient origins, Putignano is the ideal place to meet the expectations of those who intend to spend own holidays to discover this corner of Puglia. Apart from the charm of the old town with many typical churches and convents and the beauty of the caves (a real wedding keepsake of pink alabaster), the position on the territory allows to easy access to the most important tourist centers of Puglia and Basilicata (Matera is only at 60 km.).
